We also have an accounting programme for those who want good jobs.

What kind of programme is this?

ACCA or the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants is a UK-based professional accounting body with a huge global reputation and presence. It takes three and a half years to complete.  If the students are hard-working and obtain good grades, employers will take them in as Audit juniors after completing Part 2 of the programme. As the audit staff they can work in the daytime and continue their studies in the evening to complete the programme.

Is this like apprenticeship?

No, this is like studying for a professional accounting course but the student needs to finish the first two parts with good grades so that the employers will employ them on either work permit or S Pass. When approved the student can then work and study at the same time.

How does the student join this course?

If the student is BELOW 21 years he must have a high school 12th year certificate including English and Mathematics.
If the student is ABOVE 21 years old, he or she will be admitted as a mature student regardless of qualifications.

Do many students take this course?

Yes. It is one of the most popular programmes at AEC. It is a challenging course.  All exams are set and marked by ACCA and the results are issued by ACCA directly to the studeents.
