This is a foundation programme designed to prepare students for university level studies. It covers subjects such as management, sociology and economics. The programme also includes an English Language component.

Programme Outline
- Introduction to Accounting and Finance:
The aim of this module is to review, analyze, classify, and record business transactions in a manual and computerized environment. Emphasis is on understanding the complete accounting cycle and preparing financial statements, bank reconciliation, and payroll, includes accounting for notes, deferrals and accruals, receivables and payables, inventory and plant assets. Designed to provide a solid foundation for further study in both accounting and non-accounting environment and to the common financial accounting (external) reports and management accounting (internal) tools used for decision-making purposes.
- Introduction to Sociology:
This is an introductory level module designed to acquaint students with some of the key concepts, theories, perspectives, and topics addressed by the discipline of sociology. No specialized knowledge or previous modulework in the area is expected. This class is structured around active student participation rather than instructor lectures. Recognizing that different students learn best in different ways, the class will use a combination of readings, discussion, presentations and written exercises to explore the material.
- Introduction to Economics:
Economic concepts and ideas are used in both business and government as the basis for much decision-making. This module introduces students to the main economic concepts and provides them with the opportunity to explore some of the key contemporary economic issues.
- Introduction to Computing:
The aim of this module is to review the technical aspects of computer systems and their role within the wider ambit of information systems to enable students to effectively apply the computer as a support tool within their study programme and profession. This module will explore fundamental concepts including hardware and software; input, output and storage devices, communications and the Web; information systems development; multimedia; and database design. In addition, these concepts will be applied within a variety of workplace and social situations; the social and employment implications of information technology; and a systems approach to the practical development of computer-based solutions to selected tasks.
- Introduction to Marketing:
The module focuses on students understanding of the marketing mix. Essentially, studies are concentrated on the nature and behavior of supplying organizations, nature and behavior of the ultimate consumer and the various marketing mix elements (product, price, place, promotion), which are used by organizations to satisfy needs and wants of consumers. This module aims to provide detailed marketing theories for conceptual purposes.
- Introduction to Management:
This module provides students with a firm understanding of the history of management and to review significant management literature and to apply management theories to practical problems in planning, organizing, and controlling business activity. This module systematically and thoroughly covers management theory and practice. It will focus on the basic roles, skills and functions of management with special attention to managerial responsibility for effective and efficient achievement of goals. Special attention will be given to social responsibility, managerial ethics, and the importance of multinational organizations.

Each module is separately assessed, mostly by a combination of written examination and assignments.
