Course Description
The MBA program is one of the prestigious programs offered by the Birmingham Business School. The program is taught in the UK, Singapore, Hong Kong and Mauritius and is fully accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).
You must take a total of 8 modules of which 5 modules are core and compulsory. 3 electives may be chosen from a further 5 modules. Each module is designed to ensure that you are exposed to both the operational and the strategic aspects of management disciplines through the use of modern teaching methods. These include- action learning/ research, formal and 'live' case studies and computer assisted learning, and complement conventional lectures and seminars. As this is a classroom-based program, not distance learning, you are required to attend the intensive teaching periods. You are free to choose the number of modules you take in a year, but normally a minimum of two is expected. The program is taught by faculty members of the University of Birmingham.

- At least 24 years of age
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of relevant management/supervisory experience; or
- A recognized Professional Qualification with 8 years relevant management/supervisory experience
- Proficiency in English is essential

The total course fee is S$24,500 payable in 4 equal installments. This is inclusive of course materials, textbooks and examinations. An administrative charge of S$155 is made on acceptance into the program.Additional Information
Modules are taught intensively over an eleven-day period: on weekday evenings and weekends for a total of 45 contact hours per module. All taught modules are assessed by coursework (50%) and a final examination (50%). All examinations are conducted at the beginning of the following module, normally about 8-10 weeks after the intensive teaching.
Modules must be taken one after the other i.e. you will not be allowed to take 2 modules at any one sitting. You must fully complete a module before going on to the next one. The norm is to take 4 modules a year
On completion of all 8 modules, you will be required to submit a 10,000 - 12,000 words dissertation under the guidance of a personal supervisor.
