The aim of this course is to provide learners a very sound foundation of skills, concepts and knowledge of the business world and the opportunity to develop the practical competencies required by employers in various sectors of business. It is designed to provide access to further study in the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting and a number of business and accounting degree programs in the UK.
The AEC Edu Group ensures that all students enrolling in our program will receive strong academic guidance as well as excellent support from the Institution, leading to students completing their respective programs in a satisfactory manner.
One of our goals is to deliver quality programs to all our students through both local and native graduate teachers with teaching experience in government or private institutions, and /or real world experience in their respective field of expertise.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this program, students will be equipped with knowledge and skills such as planning, analyzing and reporting and have an awareness of current accounting professional issues such as legal and technical considerations. The GAP is equivalent to the Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Accounting.
LCCI Computerised Accounting Level 3
- Set up partnership and limited liability company accounts
- Track department and job profitability
- Enter transaction data including multi-currency transaction data
- Manage debtors’ accounts and bad debts
- Manage inventory
- Enter year-end journal entries before closing financial years
- Customize and generate a variety of reports
LCCI English for Business Level 3
- Understand and write English used in a variety of ways within a range of business contexts
- Employ appropriate business formats and styles to produce a range of business documents for different audiences and purposes
Economics (James Watt College unit)
- Explain costs and market structure within which a firm operates
- Evaluate the impact of unemployment and inflation
- Evaluate government use of revenue and expenditure
Law (James Watt College unit)
- Describe the legal system and the “Source of Law”
- Explain the law of contract
- Distinguish the legal characteristics of the various types of business organisations and relationships
Accounting Group Award Graded Unit 1 (Summative Assessment - Scottish Qualifications Authority/James Watt College)
- An exemplar instrument of assessment
- Essential knowledge of business accounting, introduction to economic issues, managing of people and organisations and marketing are recommended.
Admission Requirement
For entry to the LCCI Graduate Access Program (GAP) in Accounting:-- Either:
- LCCI Level 3 in Accounting
- LCCI Level 3 in Management or Level 2 or 3 in Cost Accounting
- LCCI Level 3 in Business Statistics or Advanced Business Calculations
- Or:
- CAT (Certified Accounting Technician)
- Plus:
- Appropriate level of English (For non-English speaking countries)
Course Duration
- 4 months full-time or 6 months part-time.

- $3,440 made payable by semester (2 semesters)
