Tunku Iskander

Tunku Dato’ Seri Iskandar Bin Tunku Abdullah is the Non-Executive Chairman of AEC EDU Group

Tunku Iskandar

He is a Director of MAA Holdings Bhd, Malaysian Assurance Alliance Bhd, MBf Holdings Bhd and MBf Capital Bhd. He is also the Group Managing Director of Melewar Group Berhad which has investments in various sectors including financial services, tourism, education, logistics, real estate development and construction. Tunku Iskandar is also the Chairman of Neucor Holdings Pte Ltd and Neucor Alliance (M) Sdn Bhd, which are in distribution and direct selling in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

In 2001, he was appointed to the National Economic Consultative Council (NECC) of Malaysia which was formed to advise the Government on the country’s strategic planning.

Tunku Dato’ Seri Iskandar was awarded the Darjah Setia Negeri Sembilan (DNS) in 1987 and was also awarded the Darjah Seri Paduka Tuanku Ja’afar Yang Terpuji (DPTJ) in 1989 by His Royal Highness Yang DiPertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.

Tunku Iskander holds a Master of Science Degree in International Marketing of the University of Strathclyde, UK. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), the Institute of Business Administration (UK), the Institute of Administrative Management (UK) and the Institute of Marketing Malaysia. In 1984, he received the “Triple-A” Alumni Achievement Award from the Asian Institute of Management, Philippines.

David Ho

David Ho

David is one of Singapore's leading entrepreneurs. In his 35-year career he has been involved in various international businesses all over the world, including the former USSR, Eastern Europe, Africa, India, China and Asia, and recently Iraq. He has developed a fascination and keen eye for new and emerging business opportunities in Asia.

David is primarily responsible for the overall management, strategic planning and business development for the AEC Group.

David started his career with Citibank Singapore in 1973. In 1978, he left to start his own company, Windmill International Pte Ltd, an industrial bulk commodities trading and logistics company. Windmill was ranked 6th at the 1995 Enterprise 50 Awards.

David graduated from the University of Singapore in 1973 with Hons. in Economics. He is married with 4 children and an active member of the National University of Singapore Society.

Haider Sithawalla

Mr. Haider Sithawalla is the Finance Director of AEC EDU Group.

He started his career as a civil servant and rose to the position of a Deputy Secretary, when he resigned to join the private sector and joined ACMA as a General Manager and later became its Managing Director. He is currently a Director in a number of publicly listed and private companies He is also a trustee of NTUC FairPrice Co-operative Limited.

Mr. Sithawalla is the Singapore High Commissioner (Non-Resident) to Mauritius, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.

Gopinath Pillai

Mr. Gopinath Pillai is a Non-Executive Director of AEC EDU Group

Gopinath Pillai

Mr. Gopinath Pillai is the Chairman of Windmill International Pte Ltd (WIL) and Gateway Distriparks Ltd. He is currently the Executive Chairman of Savant Infocomm Pte Ltd and Director of several private companies in Singapore and India. Armed with a degree in Economics and History from the erstwhile University of Malaya, he moved from teaching, banking, project approvals and finance, to working in senior positions or running various companies.

Mr Gopinath Pillai has received many awards; such as Friend of Labour Award, Meritorious Award, Friend of MCD Award, The Public Service Star Award (BBM) and Friend of IT Award.

Satpal Khattar

Satpal Khattar is a non-Executive Director of AEC EDU Group.

Satpal is the Chairman of First Capital Group of Industries and Director to Haw Par and Parameswara Group of Industries. He was a Senior Partner with Khattar Wong and Partners, a renowned law firm in the region.

His other appointments include Director to Singapore Labour Foundation and NTUC Income, Chairman to Raffles Institute Board of Governors and the Governor of Tower Club. Besides being a Director in several companies in Hong Kong, Bermuda, Malaysia and India, , he is an Advisor to the Singapore Institute of Management, and Life Trustee with SINDA (Singapore Indian Development Association).

R Jayapal

Mr. R Jayapal is a Non-Executive Director of AEC EDU Group.

Jayapal currently serves on some sub Committees of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS). He was a council member of ACCA, Singapore Branch for the past ten years in various capacities. He was also an International Assembly member of Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) for two years. He was an active member of British Alumni being in the committee for about ten years in various capacities. Jayapal has been an associate consultant for National Productivity Board of Singapore.

Jayapal was one of the Founder Member and Past President of the Institute of Management Consultant and served in the council for 12 years in various positions. To date, Jayapal has more than 18 years of management experience in education industry and 8 years in the accounting profession

Dr Danapal

Dr. Danapal Naidu is a non-Executive Director of AEC EDU Group.

Dr Danapal Naidu was appointed our Deputy Chairman on 21 March 2001. He contributes experience in management, administration and the negotiation of contacts. He was attached to the Family Planning Board of Singapore in the Ministry of Health and currently is the founder, chairman and medical doctor at the Harley Street Healthcare and Wellness Clinic in London. A gynaecologist, Dr Danapal obtained his postgraduate training from London’s Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Prior to starting his own practice, he spent several years as Assistant to The Queen’s Gynaecologist, Sir George Pinker. He is also the director of the Apollo Group of Hospitals in India and Sri Lanka. Dr Danapal graduated as a medical doctor from India and later pursued his specialisation in the United Kingdom.

Victor Ng

Mr Victor Ng is a non-Executive Director of AEC EDU Group.

Victor is a seed-financier and strategic investor with investments in several countries especially in China, United States and United Kingdom.

Presently he holds the positions of Executive Chairman (Asia Cable TV Pte Ltd), Chairman of Bluengine Pte Ltd and Temima (China) Co Ltd and director of Tenima (S) Pte Ltd, Asia Power Corporation Ltd, The Nanyang Insurance Co Ltd, Mercur Business Control (Asia) Pte Ltd and Technical Training Institute Pte Ltd (Australia).

Victor obtained a Master of Science in Economics from the University of London. He was also awarded the PBM (Community Services) by the President of Singapore.
